Get off the board in the evening and jump into a cool comfortable shoe after surfing – easy, fast and with no great sneaking action – that’s what surfers wanted at the surf spots in Italy.
In 2012, a young couple from Forli made these wishes come true and developed a completely new sneaker: it should be barefoot suitable and offer stability and running safety even on wet feet. It should be comfortable and have a unique wearing comfort, namely: you should walk in it like barefoot in the sand. And of course he should also convince by design and look cool!
Quickly a highly motivated designer team was put together, invariably young surfers from the coastal region of Emilia-Romagna. In the province of Montegranaro, known as the important location of the Italian footwear industry, the creative team found a small factory that was able to implement these extraordinary ideas and high standards: P448 was born!
Since then, the P448 surfs on a unique wave of success. The mix of the finest Italian calfskin with matching fabrics in colorful patterns, vintage finishes and cool prints make every shoe unique. The side zips guarantee slip-in without the hassle of having to cut your legs. A special feature is the removable and washable insole, which also makes the wearer even 4cm larger. And the insides are lined throughout with terry, making them particularly absorbent and ideal for barefoot wear. An extremely comfortable ride – so pleasant that everything else can wait, even surfing!
